One of the photographs from a piece I did on Havana for the Irish Times is being used in this forthcoming anthology of Cuban poetry, designed by my sister’s company Kate Horgan Bespoke Books.

I shot this portrait of Ali, a friend’s daughter, while working in Sri Lanka. I like it so much I made it part of my entry to this year’s lensculture portrait awards. Sometimes the simplest portraits are the best.
It was cold, half-overcast, but still good to be beside a body of water.
Adrian Wojtas, a very talented photographer (and my former assistant) was in Paris for a few days, and we shot some portraits that ended up reminding me of images from Cold War.
