Very sad to hear that Jimmy Nichols has died while trying to rescue someone from drowning. This portrait of him was in my "Unpublished Dublin" exhibition in the The Little Museum of Dublin in 2014. When the show was over he was delighted to be given the framed print. I met him a few months ago and he was doing well. A lovely man.
