I’ve long been fascinated by photographing public displays of affection, but what was happening beside me in this Berlin cafe was a different story. They were so involved in what was going on they didn’t notice me. A while later I printed up the images sequentially on a three meter wide strip and showed them in an exhibition in the Fumbally Exchange, Dublin. I’d managed to get in touch with the subject of the photographs via Facebook, and he’d given his permission for them to be shown.
